Troy Leon Manahan – Wayne City

Troy Leon Manahan, 57, of Wayne City, died at 10:45PM on Friday, October 4, 2019, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Wayne County. Most recently, he had worked as a general laborer for Ray’s Mowing and Backhoe Service in Fairfield. Troy was born on April 15, 1962, in Dakalb, Illinois, to Melvin Manahan and Joyce (McNeil) Manahan, who recently preceded him in death.

Survivors include his father and step-mother Melvin (Christol) Manahan of Sims, two brothers Marvin (Kathryn) Manahan of Wayne City, and John (Michelle X-Anne) Manahan of Tennessee, one sister Sheila (Tex) Stavig of Shreveport, LA, one half-sister Melissa Hall of Carmi, and several nieces and nephews. Along with his mother, Joyce, he was preceded in death by one brother Kelvin Manahan.

Funeral services for Troy Manahan will be at 6PM on Saturday, October 12th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Visitation will be from 4PM until the time of service at the funeral home. After the service, his body will be cremated, with a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
