76-year-old East Peoria resident Jerdie E. Bullard died on Saturday (October 12th). He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company from 1965 until his retirement in the late 1990s.
Jerdie was born on January 2, 1943, in Johnsonville. He was the youngest of six sons of Virgil and Mamie (Galbraith) Bullard. He married Velma “Doris” Tibbs on May 12, 1962, in Fairfield.
Jerdie Bullard was a loving father and grandfather who would do anything for his family. He is survived by his children Cheryl (Terry) Wade and Gene (Cheryl) Bullard, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a special mother-in-law Reba Tibbs.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brothers Bevley Sr., Harvey, Jeral, Vaurice, and Irvin.
Per his wishes, Jerdie Bullard was cremated, and a private service will be held at a later date. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
