Janet Fay (French) Cox – McLeansboro

79-year-old McLeansboro, IL resident, Janet Fay (French) Cox, died at 7:07 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Hamilton Memorial Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in McLeansboro, IL.  She worked as a Band Saw Operator at Clark Foam Co in Bradley, IL before retiring.  She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in McLeansboro, IL and LOVED making candy.  She was born April 7, 1940 in Flannigan Township to Ebert French and Monie (Odle) French.

Surviving are a son, Calvin (Lana) Cox of McLeansboro, IL; one granddaughter, Emilee; three sisters, Sue Hart of Dahlgren, Janice Bridwell of Hoodville and Dana Williams of McLeansboro, IL; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Ebert French (wife Shirley), Marvin, Donald, Ron and Glendal French; sister Wanda Belt and son Roland Cox.

Funeral services for Janet Fay (French) Cox will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, IL with Rev. Robert Sefried officiating.  Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro, IL.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of service Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home or to Hopewell Baptist Church.
