87-year-old Betty Lou Richardson of Cisne, passed away peacefully at 6:10 a.m. Friday November 1 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family that loved her.
Betty was born November 26, 1931 at her family home in Clay City, Illinois to Clifford and Trella (Feller) Barnes. She married Kelly M. Richardson on March 17, 1955. Kelly preceded her in death on July 20, 1999 after 44 years of marriage.
Betty served as a librarian for the North Wayne School system for many years. She also worked at the Cisne IGA and Cisne Village hall as well as Cisne Flower Shop and Boutique. She enjoyed reading, camping, crafting, and fishing, most of all she loved children and loved life.
Betty is survived by her sons David Kent Richardson of Cisne, Danny Lee Richardson of Cisne and Donny Leon (Debbie) Richardson of Fairfield. 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3 at the Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, Il. Burial will be at Cisne Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. before the funeral at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the North Wayne School District Library Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
