Maryetta R. Taylor of Carmi passed away Wednesday morning November 6, 2019 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born January 12, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Burrell and Lucy (Thompson) Taylor.
Maryetta was a homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts. She also loved flower gardening in her free time.
She is survived by her son, George Wesley Knowlton; daughters, Marie Ott and Jeannette Heads; grandchildren, Richard Ott, Jr, Kristin Ott and Joshua Tharp; great grandchildren, David James, Zachary James, Evan Shelton, Zoey Earl, Judah Tharp and Serafina Tharp. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Knowlton, her grandson, Timothy Heads, Jr, and her great-grandchildren, Jason Hoy and Lydia Tharp.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in North Maple Ridge Cemetery.
