Robert H. “Doc” Silbereisen, 69, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on August 23, 1950 in Daviess County, Kentucky, the son of Robert W. and Thelma C. (Bartlett) Silbereisen. Robert married Lila Chittenden on June 10, 1988 and together they enjoyed thirty one years of marriage.
Doc faithfully served in the United States Army. He was proud of his work as a heavy equipment operator. When Doc married Lila, he helped raise her two children, James and Wanda Winters whom he loved dearly. In his free time, Doc enjoyed working in yard and always loved to mow his yard.
Doc will be remembered by his loving wife, Lila Silbereisen; father, Robert Silbereisen; brother, Thomas Silbereisen; sister, Debra (Brian) Lemieux; step children, James (Lynn) Winters and Wanda Winters; grandchildren, Randy, Summer, Brooke and Sidney Foster; great grandchildren, Niklaus, Marcella, Gage and Gannen Foster.
Doc was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents who raised Robert, Roscoe and Anna Barlett.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville with Full Military Honors.
