E. Darlene Tyler, 73, of Fairfield, died at 2:41am on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at her residence. She had been a bookkeeper for several years.
Darlene was born on April 22, 1946, in Fairfield, to Kenneth and Elsie (Headley) Hooper. She was married to the late Jim Tyler.
Survivors include three daughters Darla Tyler of Cobden, IL, Melinda (Joseph) Keown of Henryville, IN, and Melanie (Ben) Dalton of Belleville, IL; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; five brothers Verdaine Hooper of Marked Tree, AR, Lester (Peggy) Hooper of Mt. Carmel, IL, Galen (Beth Nelson) Hooper of Harmon, IL, Melvin (Mary) Hooper of Princeton, IL, and Jerry (Judy) Hooper of Cisne, IL; one sister-in-law Pauline Hooper of Ohio; a family friend Barbara Fell; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim Tyler, and one brother Danny Hooper.
Funeral services for Darlene Tyler will be at 12pm on Monday, March 16th at the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the church. Memorial donations can be made to the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church or the SSM Hospice and will be accepted at the church or the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
