Bonita (Bonnie) L. Lowe – Cisne

94-year-old Bonita (Bonnie) L. Lowe of Cisne, passed away Monday, March 16 at the Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Bonnie was born October 23, 1925 at Cisne Illinois to Pearl and Lillie Ester (Brown) Leathers. She married Clifford G. Lowe June 29, 1946 at Cisne, Illinois. He preceded her in death July 3, 2008.

Bonnie was a member of Round Prairie General Baptist Church, Senior Life Solution, and Red Hat Society. Bonnie and Chick owned and operated the Round Prairie Store for several years. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, shopping, and going out to eat.

Bonnie is survived by two daughters Glenda (Jerry) Schell and Carolyn (George, Jr.) Matchett both of Cisne, Illinois; two sons Clifford Ray (Doris) Lowe of Geff, Illinois and Kevin (Ronda) Lowe of Cisne, Illinois; four sisters Jeanne Leathers of Fairfield, Illinois, Betty Ellis of Albion, Illinois, Donna (Dee) Thompson of Rinard, Illinois and Shirley Stevens of Flora, Illinois and sister-in-law Dorothy Hicks of Cisne, Illinois. Eight grandchildren Angela (Steve) Harrison and Jennifer (Berton) Brooker both of Cisne, Illinois, Carol Curtis of Clay City, Illinois, Corey (Julie) Lowe of Salem, Illinois, Staci (Derek) Mays of Wayne City, Illinois, Bryan Braddock of Fairfield, Illinois, Trenton (Jess) Lowe of Kansas and Tyson (Kelsey) Lowe of Fairfield, Illinois; fourteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and one due in May and one due in August, and three step great grandchildren and three step great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one sister, and four brothers.

Visitation will be 5pm – 7pm Thursday, March 19 at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home at Cisne, Illinois. Due to CDC guidelines for COVID-19, the Lowe family and the funeral home request you avoid personal contact, maintain distance, and keep visiting time to a minimum. Private funeral service will be held at Round Prairie General Baptist Church south of Cisne, Illinois. Burial will be in Round Prairie Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Union Grove Youth Camp and will be accepted at the church and the funeral home.
