Ronald Lee Webb – McLeansboro

Ronald Lee Webb, 86, a resident of McLeansboro, IL passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.

He was born February 6, 1934 in McLeansboro to his parents George J. and Hazel Grace (Thompson) Webb.  He married Linda E. (Threlkeld) Webb in 1952, who survives.  He was the owner and operator of the Hamilton County Loan in McLeansboro.  He served on the Hamilton County Unit 10 School Board for 16 years, he was a member of the McLeansboro Polk Lodge #137, member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, former member of the Jaycees, member of the National & State Independent Loan Association, and a member of the McLeansboro First Baptist Church.

Ronald is survived by his wife Linda Webb of McLeansboro, 2 sons: Craig (Bonnie) Webb and Tracey (Cara) Webb, both of McLeansboro, a daughter Rhonda (Patrick) Carter of Evansville, IN; 8 grandchildren:  Dorrinda Cullum, Nichole (Brian) Bristow), Lucas (Kyla) Webb, Jillian Foster, Cindel (Josh) Polhemus, Brittany (Wesley) Drake, Devin (Cole) Baker, and Cole (Savannah) Webb.  19 great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by both parents, one son Terry Webb, 2 brothers: George J. Webb Jr. and Kermit Webb, and 1 sister Wanda Fern Nieman.

Funeral Services for Ronald Lee Webb will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at McLeansboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Byars officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the church, and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, and will be accepted at the church, or at the Gholson Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.
