78-year-old Joyce Sons of Fairfield, died at 4:42 PM, Thursday, August 20 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Born on February 6, 1942 in Fairfield to William “Bill” and Venellia (Legg) Tucker, she had worked at Airtex Products in Fairfield for 18 years as an assembler.
Joyce is survived by her sons Mike (Tonya) Auvil of Huntingburg, IN, Bradley (Sheila) Auvil and Mark (Martha) Auvil of Fairfield, daughter Vickie (David) McKean of Fairfield, 3 step children- Tammy (Rob) Musgrave, Sheila (Ed) Titzer, and Jeffrey (Renee) Sons, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry Sons, son Ricky, 3 brothers- Jim, Wilbur, and Bob Tucker, and a sister Betty Mark.
Joyce will be cremated and there will be no formal services. Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.
