Ruth Irene Theivagt – formerly of Fairfield

89-year-old former Fairfield resident, Ruth Irene Theivagt passed away early Thursday morning, August 20 at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Springfield. Ruth was born July 10, 1931 in Beardstown to Harry and Gertrude (Wankel) Weber. Ruth married Reginald Theivagt on February 3, 1951 in Beardstown and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2019. They lived in Adams County, IL for ten years until moving to Fairfield in October of 1963 after Reginald accepted a job managing the Stockyards west of Fairfield. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Fairfield.

Ruth is survived by three sons, Steve (Nancy) Theivagt of Springfield, Larry Theivagt of Fairfield, and Sam Theivagt of Dawson; Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Ruth in death were her parents, her husband, Reginald, three sisters and one brother.
