Leslie Charles “Chuck” Youngblood – Wayne City

50-year-old Leslie Charles “Chuck” Youngblood of Wayne City, died at 5:53 p.m. August 27 at SSM Health Saint Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born September 24, 1969 in Fairfield to Jackie Ross Youngblood and Ann (Staggs) Stephenson. Chuck married Susan (Smith) Youngblood on February 14, 1998 and she survives in Wayne City.

In addition to his beloved wife of 22 years, Chuck is survived by his children, Jaxson Youngblood and Jaycee Youngblood, both of Wayne City; parents, Ann and Danny Stephenson of Wayne City and Jack and Patrice Youngblood of Wayne City; siblings, Brad Stephenson and wife, Heather of Bluford, Daniel Stephenson and wife, Jessica of Belle Rive, Annetta Beeson and husband, Russell of Fairfield, Jill Youngblood of Mount Vernon, Wayne Youngblood and wife, Whitney of Wayne City, and Carly Youngblood and significant other, Michael of Fairfield; maternal grandmother, Babe Staggs of Wayne City; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Bonnie Smith of Wayne City; sister-in-law, Jackie Matthews and husband, Brian of Bluford; and two brothers-in-law, Tony Smith and wife, Danielle of Wayne City and Scott Smith of Wayne City.

Chuck was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Chuck worked for Quad County Ready Mix as a mixer and a truck driver and served as a volunteer firefighter with the Wayne City Fire Department.  He enjoyed deer hunting, boating, and spending time with his family.  He will forever be dearly loved and missed.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Wayne City. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 31 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Wayne City with Reverend Jerry Trotter officiating. Interment will follow at Baltimore Cemetery in Wayne County.  Memorials, in loving memory of Chuck Youngblood, may be made to his children’s education fund in the care of Susan Youngblood.
