83-year-old Fairfield resident, Patricia A. McKinney, died at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana on Wednesday, August 26th.
Patricia was born March 17, 1937 in East St. Louis to Frank and Rose (Wedeski) Gabriel. She married Gerald “Sonny” McKinney in November of 1958 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She had worked 14 years as a CNA at Rest Haven Manor in Albion and was a member of the Orchardville church. Patricia loved to spend time with her family and friends and to play Bingo any chance she could.
Patricia is survived by five sons, Brian (Cristy) McKinney, Eddie (Elaine) McKinney, Richard McKinney all of Fairfield; Kenny McKinney of Olney; Johnny McKinney of Mt. Vernon; One daughter, Shelia Bailey of Albion; one brother, Frank (Peggy) Gabriel of Troy, Illinois and two sisters, Ann Wells of Collinsville and Rosie Parks of Belleville; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding Patricia in death were her parents, her husband Sonny, two daughters, and four sons.
Per Patricia’s wishes, cremation has been accorded and no services are to be held. Memorials in memory of Patricia can be directed to Nale’s Funeral Home at 106 E.
