Anna Lee Holdren – McLeansboro

Anna Lee Holdren, 87, a resident of McLeansboro, IL passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL.

She was born December 1, 1932, in McLeansboro, IL, the daughter of Delmar and Mildred Irvin.  On June 21, 1952, she married Harold Holdren, who preceded in her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Dale Pentecost Church in Dale, IL where she taught Sunday School for 70 years.

Anna is survived by a sister Joan (Dewain) Johnson of McLeanssboro, a niece Shelia (Mike) Glenn of McLeansboro, a nephew Brent (Shelia) Johnson of McLeansboro, 2 great nieces: Lesley Glenn of Neoga, IL and Amanda (Alex) Smith of Benton, IL; 3 great nephews: Jeremy (Amy) Glenn of McLeansboro, Joshua Johnson of Chattanooga, TN; and Eli Johnson of McLeansboro.  6 great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Holdren, both parents, and one great-great nephew.

Funeral Services for Anna Lee Holdren will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Dale Pentecost Church in Dale, IL with Rev. Cliff Clark and Rev. Mike Glenn officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the Church.

Memorials may be made to the Dale Pentecost Sunday School Class and will be accepted at the Church or at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is in charge of the arrangements.
