Lillie Belle Perry – formerly of Albion

85-year-old former Albion resident Lillie Belle Perry passed away Wednesday evening, September 9, 2020 at Heritage Health in Gibson City, Illinois.

Lillie Belle was born October 16, 1934 in White County, Illinois.  She was born to Floyd and Cora Irene (Johnson) Pollard.  Lillie Belle married George Perry on June 3, 1951 in Sims, Illinois and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1988. Lillie Belle retired after working many years as the Collector at Albion City Hall. Prior to that, in the 1970’s, she worked as the secretary for Nale’s Chevrolet in Albion. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Albion and was an avid collector of teapots.

Left to cherish many loving memories is one daughter, Kathy (Robert) Anderson of Saybrook, Illinois, one sister, Jeanine Phillips of Warrensburg, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Acree, James (Ashlee) Anderson, and Jana (Travis) Johnson; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Preceding Lillie Belle in death were her parents, husband, George, son, Jack Perry, one sister, one brother, and one nephew.

Graveside services for Lillie Belle Perry will be Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Burnt Prairie Cemetery in Burnt Prairie, Illinois with Bro. Kirk Rowe officiating.  Friends and family are to go directly to the cemetery. Memorials can be made to Transition Hospice, 24040 Raymond Court, Huntley, Illinois 60142 or accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion who are in charge of the arrangements.
