Scott Lee Stocke, 69, of Carmi, Illinois, died Friday, September 25, 2020, at his home. He was born February 8, 1951, in Springerton, Illinois, the son of Clarence William “C.W.” Stocke and Jewel Dean (McGehee) Stocke.
He was a member of the Enfield First Christian Church. Scott worked in sales, and his most fulfilling position what with IBM, and for a short time, he farmed alongside his father and brother. His pastimes include working with computers, working in his yard, boating, and talking. Summer jobs during his youth were in the Illinois Basin oilfields working on a pulling unit.
Survivors include his mother, Jewel Stocke of Carmi; sons Nathan Stocke, Collin Stocke, Kendall Stocke; brother Steve (Barbara) Stocke of Enfield, Illinois; sister Shirley Williams of Carmi; and two grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, C.W. Stocke.
Visitation and funeral are Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi. Visitation is at 11 am and funeral is at 1 pm. Burial is in Hammack Cemetery in Springerton.
Memorials may be made to Relay For Life or the White County Senior Citizens Center and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel.
