Fonda Joy Wiedle – Wayne City

Fonda Joy Wiedle, 63, of Wayne City, Illinois, passed away on October 12, 2020 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born February 22, 1957 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Warren and Rosa Mae (Sharp) Miller. Fonda married Gary Wiedle on June 29, 2013 and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Fonda is survived by her children, Lezlie Hicks and husband, Jonathan of Texico, Illinois, Tamar Riley and husband, Chris of Salem, Illinois, and Landon Withrow and wife, Emily of Keenes, Illinois; grandchildren, Autumn, Corrah, Zeb, Cyrus, Tessa, and Breclyn Hicks, Josie, Colton, Harper, and Case Riley, and Ethni and Lawson Withrow; sister, Reva Smith and husband, Donnie of Sims, Illinois; brother, Dwain Miller of Plant City, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Fonda was a Christian and had attended church most of her life. She worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years. She loved spending time in Florida, enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, crocheting, listening to gospel music, and playing games with her family. Fonda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Bluford Church of God in Bluford, Illinois. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:30 am at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Fonda’s honor to Flights for Christ.
