72-year-old Sandra Jean Borah of Mt Vernon, Illinois passed away at 9:20 AM on Wednesday, November 18 at her home. She had worked at Browns shoe factory in Charleston for 15 years and more recently was a homemaker. Jeanie was born in Mattoon on February 12, 1948 to Chester and Irene (Hunt) Dow.
Jeanie is survived by her husband Carroll Borah of Mt Vernon; brother- Jim (Nancy) Dow of Neoga, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son- Jimmy, brother- Chester Dow JR, and sister- Judy Capper.
A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery on Friday November 20. Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
