78-year-old Shirley Reid of Fairfield, died at 9:45 AM, Monday, November 30 at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. Born on November 6, 1942 in Olney, IL to Roy and Cloe (Allen) Rogers, she had worked for Southern Lumber Co. for 45 years. She had also been the mayor of Enfield for 8 years.
Shirley is survived by her husband Jerry of Fairfield, grandson Justin Curry of Fairfield, and 2 great granddaughters Avery and Kyah Curry. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Rhonda Curry.
Private graveside services for Shirley Reid will be held on Wednesday, December 2 at Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials in her honor may be made to American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
