96-year-old Violet L. Jones of Carmi, died Monday, January 11 at Wabash Christian Village. She was born September 11, 1924 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Oscar and Esther (Doty) Wallace. She married Charles “Vic” Jones on December 31, 1943 in Crossville and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2015.
Violet was a homemaker. She was very active in the White County Senior Citizens and a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Charles Richard (Angela) Jones; grandsons, Kyle R. Jones and Aaron C. Jones; great grandchildren, Jaylon J. Jones and Cambrae G. Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her brother, Donald Wallace.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 14 at the Little Wabash Cemetery in Crossville. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
