84-year-old Shirley Ann Mobley of Carmi, died Monday, May 10 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born September 6, 1936, in Enfield, the daughter of Orval “Bubbles” Nation and Alma (Storey) Nation. She was married to Dick Mobley in 1955, and he preceded her in death in the year 2002.
Shirley was a child care provider and an avid reader.
Survivors include sons Bryan Mobley of Carmi, Dick (Peggy) Mobley of Enfield, Kevin Gier of Enfield; daughter Rose (Gordon) Flora of Leesburg, Missouri; grandchildren Josh Mobley, Ricky Mobley, Nicky Komar, Billy Gier, Jim Gier; numerous great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother Richard “Sonny” Nation, and sister Shelby Johnson.
Visitation and funeral are Friday, May 14 at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi. Visitation is at 10 am and funeral is at 11 am. Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
