Alice A. Black – Enfield

Alice A. Black, 63, of Enfield passed away at 1:28 a.m, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Fairfield, IL on July 4, 1957 the daughter of Victor “Babe” and Vivian “Sis” (Vaught) Artin.  Alice married William Maurie Black on September 4, 1976 in Enfield.  She worked in the bank industry for over 40 years, most recently as Vice President of Retail Deposit Operations at First Bank in Carmi, Alice was a member of Ashland Christian Church near Mill Shoals and the Norris City Quilt Guild.  Alice’s greatest joy was baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Alice is survived by her husband of 44 years, Maurie; two sons, Willie (Ashley) Black of Enfield and Darin Black of Enfield; two brothers, Clinton (Brenda) Willis and Braden (Susie) Willis all of Enfield; two granddaughters, Kenly and Kerrigan Black; a sister-in-law, Dang Vaught of Enfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Vicky Coe and a brother, Thomas L. Vaught.

Funeral services for Alice A. Black, 63, of Enfield will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 14, 2021 at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield.  Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield. Memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to Ashland Christian Church and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home.
