William Michael Goolsby, 67, of Grayville, Illinois, died July 20, 2021, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. He was born September 2, 1953, on Kermit, Texas, the son of Guy Baker and Bettye (Hix) Goolsby.
Michael was a truck driver and a U.S. Navy veteran. He attended the Cowling Free Methodist Church in Cowling, Illinois. He loved to play his guitar and sings. He also enjoyed song writing.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Luba Goolsby of Grayville; sons Gabriel Ivan Goolsby of Canton, Illinois; daughter Michalina Angela Goolsby of Chicago, Illinois; step-brothers Danny (Sally) Daniel, Donald (Nancy) Daniel, Dexter (Cheri) Daniel, all of Grayville; half-sisters Melonie (Greg) Sherman, and Sheryl (Jeff) Stagner, all of Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law Michalina Wasiutyn.
Michael’s remains were cremated and no services are planned at this time.
