Amanda M. Tucker – Fairfield

41-year-old Amanda M. Tucker of Fairfield, died at 3:29pm on Tuesday, July 27 at her residence.

Amanda was born on August 8, 1979, in Fairfield, to Shirley (Bobby) Carter and Roger (Linda) Tucker, both of Fairfield.

Amanda had last worked at Hucks in Fairfield, where she enjoyed working with her co-workers and customers. Her pride and joy were her children and she lived her life to spend time with them. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, doing hair, and make-up with her girls, watching movies with her children, and was an animal lover. She had a smile that would light up your day and a kind spirit that always had time to listen. Everyone she met was touched by her love.

Survivors include her mother Shirley (Bobby) Carter, father Roger (Linda) Tucker, paternal grandmother Irene Tucker all of Fairfield, two daughters Makayla and Jalissa Byrns both of Owensville, IN, two sons Xavier and Terrance Baker both of Fairfield, one brother Nicholas (Ashley) Tucker, one sister Ashlea (Eli) Devoy all of Fairfield, two step-brothers Robert Carter III of Fairfield, and William Carter of Louisville, IL, two step-sisters Breanne Medler of Fairfield, and Brooke McCurdy of Albion, maternal step-grandparents Lynn (Vern) Leck, paternal step-grandfather Jr. Wilson, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Loren and Catherine Johnston, her paternal grandfather Bob Tucker, maternal step-grandfather Robert Carter, paternal step-grandmother Ruth Wilson, and her boyfriend Cory Baker.

Funeral services for Amanda Tucker will be at 1pm on Wednesday, August 4th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Memorial donations can be made to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
