Ronald Foley – Carmi

82-year-old Ronald Foley of Carmi, died on Monday, October 25 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.  He was born on May 4, 1939, in Carmi, the son of Oather and Norma (Raglin) Foley. Ronald married Phyllis Hortin on September 17, 1966 and she preceded him in death on March 17, 2019. He worked at Basin Surveys for 15 years. After that, he worked for Walmart for more than 20 years and as the custodian at  First Christian Church in Carmi for 10 years.  Ronald enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, fishing, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He was an avid hat and pen collector.  Ronald loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Ronald is survived by his sons,  Kevin (Nancy) Foley of Carmi, Brian (Mindie) Foley of Norris City, and Brad (Robin) Foley of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Jaylyn, Conner, Caden, Jessie and Autumn Foley, Nathan Foley, Amber (Joey) Simpson, Ashlee (Kyle) Strole, Keith (Kaila) Foley, Sam (Cedric) Lyles, Colton Foley, Aaron Foley, Halie (Tyler) Ragan, Ashley (Wes) Yager, Adam Combs, Zach Foley and Britt Foley; and 24 great-grandkids.  In addition to his wife Phyllis Foley, he is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Earl Foley, Ramona Foley, Charles Foley, Lucy Wood.

Funeral services for Ronald Foley will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial at White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  Contributions can be made in Ronald’s memory to the White County Ambulance Service, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
