79-year-old Melinda L. Buchanan of Geff, died at 5:04 PM, Tuesday, November 9 at Cisne Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Born on January 11, 1942, in Olney to Harry and Edith (Carter) Clemmons, she had been an administrative assistant at Airtex and was a homemaker.
Melinda is survived by her daughters Karen Tullis of Fairfield and Alexis McGee of Evansville, grandchildren- John Jacob Rodgers of Geff, Trey Sterling of Geff, Jessica Sterling of Geff, Taylor Sterling of Mt. Vernon, and Eva Rhea of Louisville, KY, 6 great grandchildren, a brother John Clemmons of Hobart, IN, and sisters Talma Day of Utah and Tracey Clemmons Coale of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Alexander McGee and Randall Buchanan, son John Tullis, and a sister Mary Beth Decker.
Funeral services for Melinda Buchanan will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, November 13th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Bestow Cemetery in Geff. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
