Thomas “Tommy” Pruitt, 72 of Fairfield, passed away at 6:02 PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He worked at the Career Development Center.
Tommy was born on August 12, 1949, in Moline, IL to Samuel and Agnes (Nelson) Pruitt.
Tommy is survived by all his friends from Shamrock Services, and Career Development Center who loved him very much.
Tommy lived at the Dyball Sunshine Home in Fairfield for many years. Then he moved to Ballyduff in Fairfield. He enjoyed attending the Jasper Baptist Church.
Tommy loved Christmas and Santa Claus. He liked to look at books and magazines. He enjoyed playing his giant bowling set and Connect 4 game. He had a stuffed snowman that he loved. Tommy always loved to sit at the window to see what was going on outside. Tommy was a fun loving cheerful person. Tommy never met a stranger, and he will be missed so much by everyone who spent time with him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service.
