91-year-old Dorothy A. Williams of Fairfield, died at 5:08 AM, Saturday, January 15 at Oakview Nursing Home in Mt. Carmel. Born on April 25, 1930, in Barnhill to Carroll and Noma (Hause) Meeks, she had worked at Fairfield Garment Company and been a homemaker. She also loved to sew and cook and had formerly attended the Assembly of God Church in Fairfield where she was a charter member.
Dorothy is survived by sons Carroll E. Williams of Fairfield and Lloyd L. (Charisse) Williams of Mt. Vernon, IN, daughters Naomi (Robert) Jones of Oklahoma City, OK, Sherry Williams of Fairfield, and Leota Williams of Fairfield, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy L. Williams, her parents, and a sister Delphia Meeks.
Funeral services for Dorothy Williams will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, January 20 at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Barnhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
