Lois (Darlene) Bruce passed peacefully on September 27, 2022, at 9am surrounded by her loved ones.
Darlene was a new year twin, born January 1, 1940, to Cecil and Dessie Crawford. She married the love of her life Billy J Bruce on November 26, 1958. They were married 50 years and were blessed with 6 children. Darlene was a long-time bookkeeper in the oil field industry. A wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother she will be missed by all.
Survivors include sons; Cecil (Tammy) Bruce of Rockford, Steven (Alice) Bruce, of Fairfield,; daughters; Ruby Bruce and Penny (Van) Musgrave of Fairfield. and twin sister Charlene (Bill) Wagner, niece, Cheryl (Jerry) McCann, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by; her parents, husband Billy James Bruce Sr., children; Billy Bruce Jr. and Darla Bankston, sister Lou Bruce, brother Bob Crawford, and grandson Ben Vining.
Funeral services for Darlene Bruce will be held at 12 PM, Monday, October 3rd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.
