Tincie Eileen Lingafelter

On Friday September 30, 2022, after a courageous battle with lung cancer, Tincie Eileen Lingafelter Ford, beloved mother and grandmother, left this Earth for her final home. She was seventy-seven. She was surrounded by family the last weeks of her life at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health.

Tincie was born on October 27, 1944 to Lyle and Ruth (Rose) Lingafelter. A tenacious woman with many talents, from baton twirler in her youth to seamstress and wedding dress maker, if she put her mind to it she could do it. She learned to handle an 18-wheeler, driving professionally for more than 16 years, logging over three million miles, and winning Driver of the Year in 2003. Some might call that stubborn, we call it strong-willed. She was feisty! Her will to survive was unrivaled, as shown to us throughout her lifetime, and especially in these last few weeks. She had a great love for animals, chiefly her dog and cats. She was also an avid game show enthusiast, particularly watching Wheel of Fortune nightly.
Tincie took great pride in her family. She was called mom, momma, Memaw, and grandma. She bragged on each daughter, son-in-law, grandchild, and great grandchild every chance she got. Her smile and adoration shined when she spoke of them.

She is survived by her four daughters: Annette Adams (Bill) of Paducah, Ky; Nanette Gresham (Stephen) of Dayton, Oh; Sheila Vaughn (Nathan) of Fairfield, IL; Shelly Gigliotti (Gabriel) Greenville, IL. Brother Larry Lingafelter (Wilma) Grayville, IL; fifteen grandchildren: Ashley Cundiff (Sean), Amanda Jones (Michael), Erin Centenni (Michael), Billy Cooper (Miranda), Erika Cargle (Nathan), Drury Gresham (Megann), William Gresham, Jonathan Vaughn (Jessica), Anise Vanderhoof (Austin), Tyler Vaughn, Joshua Boyd (Andrea), Jacob Boyd (Swetha), Mathew Gigliotti, Christopher Gigliotti (Wendy), and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Raymond Lingafelter, granddaughter Megan Cooper, granddaughter-in-law Marissa Vaughn, great-granddaughter Kyrie Jo Vaughn, and a son, David, in infancy.

Services will be held Wednesday, October 5th at Milner and Orr of Paducah. Visitation will take place at 11:00 am followed by services at noon. Burial will be private with the family at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy should be given to Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health, 1530 Lone Oak Rd, Paducah, KY 42003.
