Robert Allen Neikirk, 77, of Albion, IL, passed away Tuesday January 17th, 2023, at Aperion Care in Fairfield, IL with his loving family by his side. He was born January 21st, 1945, in Lancaster, IL to Harold and Lola (Gawthorp) Neikirk.
Robert was a member of the Tri County Coon Club and the Laborers local 1197 out of Mcleansboro, IL. He liked to hunt, especially coon hunting and deer hunting, and time spent at deer camp was favorite time. Robert liked scrapping metal. He enjoyed raising mules, donkeys, and horses. He cherished family time, especially when he could enjoy breakfast with his brothers.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lola, one sister; Joyce DeHaven, two brothers; Gene and Steven Neikirk.
Robert is survived by his wife Cathy, one son; Rob (Tracy) Neikirk, one step-daughter; Mandy (Jake Martin) Arvin, one step-son; Ryan Arvin, three sisters; Linda Perkins, Kathy (Joe Grounds) Neikirk, Marilyn (Bernard) Turpin, Judy (Jeff) Landingham, three brothers; John (Sue) Neikirk, Larry (Darlene) Neikirk, Terry (Debbie) Neikirk, two sisters-in-law; Judy (Gene) Neikirk, Judy (Steven) Neikirk, six grandchildren; Ashley Neikirk, Alex Neikirk, Rowan Arvin, Hadley Haycraft, Olivia Arvin, Charlotte Arvin and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harrison Cemetery.
