Eldon L. Troyer, 83, of Cisne, IL. passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
Eldon was born September 20, 1939, in Fairfield, IL. to George Francis and Leona (Mason) Troyer. He was married to Shirley Bell, and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2009.
Eldon was a “Jack of all trades,” a very hard worker. In his lifetime he was a truck driver, working for area fertilizer plants. He also owned his own sawmill where he logged and cut the timber himself. Built many things through his life even at the age of 74 built his own “tiny home”. His grandkids Will and Emma were definitely his pride and joy, enjoyed going to any of their sporting or school events. Eldon was and will always be their #1 fan.
Eldon was in the Army and served his country during the Vietnam era, he was stationed in Germany.
Eldon is survived by his daughter, Jeanie (Matt) Lehman of Flora, IL., stepdaughter, Cindy (Brent) Simms of Fairfield, IL, two stepsons James (Georgia) Ewing of Flora, IL, and David (Robyn) Ewing of Fairfield; seven grandchildren, Will and Emma Lehman of Flora, IL, step grandchildren, Ashlee Johnson, Josh Simms, Aleah White, Rylee and Addison Ewing all of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, parents, brothers Harold and Gilbert, sister Ruth and grandson, Ashton.

Funeral Service: Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11:00 am Hosselton Meridith Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church food pantry in Flora, IL, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Burial: will follow in Cisne Cemetery. With military honors provided by Anthony Wayne American Legion Post 176 and the Wayne Memorial Post 4535 VFW.
