Wayne County Sheriff’s Officials were called to the scene of an accident Friday on County Highway 13.
71-year-old Michael E. McNeil of Belle Rive was southbound in a Chevy truck when a safety strap on his load broke and a hay bale fell off. A Chevy drivy be 61-year-old Marvin Lewis Hayword of Xenia IL made contact with the hay bale.
Officials report over $1500 of damage to Hayword’s vehicle. McNeil was cited for unsafe operation of equipment for a loose load.
