Wayne County Sheriff’s Officials were called to a 2 vehicle crash on Illinois Highway 15 at 8:29 PM last night. A 2014 Kia Soul driven by a 17-year-old juvenile of West Salem was driving eastbound when it rear-ended a 2020 Toyota Highlander operated by James D. Salter of Princeton. Salter according to the report was slowing down for a vehicle in front of him to turn.
No injuries were reported in the accident. Over $1500 of damage was reported. The 17-year-old juvenile was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
