Bernard A. “Bernie” Andrini, 84, of Grayville, Illinois, died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at his home. He was born January 29, 1939, in Geneva, Illinois, the son of Attilio and Matilda (De Weirdt) Andrini. In 1960, he married Caroline (Eck) Andrini, and she survives.
Bernie worked in maintenance for Illinois Tool Works in Elgin, Illinois. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and he was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing video games and watching TV. For a time, he worked at the Grayville Shell service station. Bernie loved being with his family and friends, and was always quick with a joke or funny story.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Andrini of Grayville; son Christopher Andrini of Ft. Collins, Colorado; daughters Pamela (David) Cardiff of Wadesville, Indiana, Michele (Bryan) Masterson of Grayville; brothers Ralph (Donna) Andrini, and Robert Andrini, all of St. Charles, Illinois; grandchildren Tabitha (Matt) Rhodes, Amanda Buchwald, Alex (Denara) Cardiff, all of Albion, Illinois, Corbin Andrini of Ft. Polk, Louisiana, Zachary Masterson and Zoe Masterson, both of Grayville; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law Kathy Andrini.
Visitation and funeral are Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville, Illinois. Visitation is at 2:00 pm and funeral is at 3:00 pm. Military honors will be rendered on the Cook Funeral Chapel parking lot following the funeral service.
