Flora Looking At a Parking Variance During Monday City Council Meetinf

The city of Flora is set to have their first City Council Meeting for the month of February this afternoon at 4:30 at Flora City Hall.

Prior to that meeting, a public hearing will be held at 4:15 to consider the petition of SMIFCO Incorporated and Hubbard Enterprises LLC’s request of a variance form the city’s parking space requirement, reducing from 54 to 45 spaces at 847 West North Street. The location is currently zoned as C-2 Neighborhood Commercial..

At that meeting, as a part of the consent agenda, city officials look to approve the use of Charley Brown Park for June 8 thru 10 and June 15-17 for 2 different events for the Flora Coonhunters Club. Under regular business, the board will take up a resolution to confirm a sales agreement with Constellation. They will also look into granting a variance for SMIFCO Incorporated and Hubbard Enterprises in regards to a parking variance.
