Wilma (Jacobs) Jones, 92, of Jerseyville, IL and formerly of Crossville passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Jerseyville Manor. She was born in Norris City, IL on January 9, 1931 the daughter of John Laverne and Esther Martha (Hullett) Jacobs. Wilma graduated in 1948 from Crossville High School and on November 24, 1950 she married William Earl Jones. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2010. Wilma retired in 2000 from First Bank where she had been a teller. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary and McHenry Good News Chapel. Wilma is survived by two sons, Bob (Linda) Jones of Jerseyville, IL and Gary (Kathy) Jones of Catlin, IL; four grandchildren, Jason (Renae) Jones of Jerseyville, IL, Christopher (Melissa) Jones of Jerseyville, IL, Melissa (Travis) Pearman of Catlin, IL and Jeremy (Kayla) Jones of Perrysville, IN; six great-grandchildren, Samuel and Elizabeth Pearman. Faith Ann and Tucker Lee Jones and Miley and Sailor Jones; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three siblings, John and Ronald Jacobs and Rose Tisdale.Funeral services for Wilma (Jacobs) Jones, 92, of Jerseyville will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow in Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wilma’s memory to her family as they create a memorial in Wilma’s name and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
