Shirley Fay Ingram, 81, McLeansboro, died at 3:30 pm Wednesday, May 17, 2023 peacefully at her home with family.

She was born January 14, 1942 in McLeansboro, IL, the daughter of Marion W. and Geneva I. (Parker) Moore. She married James F. Ingram on October 31, 1986 in Robinson, IL, and preceeded her in death on January 30, 2008.

Shirley made a profession of faith in the lord Jesus Christ on December 5, 1982 and upon profession of this faith was baptized on December 12, 1982 at Blooming Grove Baptist Church, then later attended Hopewell Baptist Church with the late Bud Seifred as her pastor.

Shirley worked for McLeansboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, she was a dependable, hard-working, loyal, and faithful employee for over 20 years. In her younger years, if she wasn’t working she devoted her time by fishing, motorcycle racing with her boys, and taking their friends, she was the best Mama Shirley.

She will be remembered for that iconic hair, it was her style! Her love for Elvis Presley and her fur babies Chico and Lucy!

She is survived by three sons Ed Bowlin and wife Shirley of Thompsonville, Gene Bowlin, Lonnie Bowlin and wife Lisa of Benton. Three step-sons Jim Ingram and wife Krystal of McLeansboro, Scott Ingram and wife Teresa of McLeansboro and Justin Ingram and wife Kara of Norris City. A beloved sister Brenda Lankford of McLeansboro who she lived with for over 10 years and a nice who was like a daughter, Billie Jean, and Husband Randy Huff of McLeansboro Grandchildren Chris Bowlin of South Carolina, Hailee and Husband Bryce Baser of Marion, Casey and Husband Gage Williams of West Frankfort, Samantha Bowlin of Benton, Jordan Bowlin of Benton, Meagan and Husband Jordan Evans of Thompsonville. Step Grandchildren, Jim and wife Krystal of McLeansboro, Scott and wife Teresa of McLeansboro, Justin and wife Kara of Norris City. Great Grandchildren, Camden, Kason, Ava and Parker Step-Grandchildren Courtney, Derek, Kaylee, Hillary, Gavin, Collin, Camde, and Cason Step- Great Grandchildren Alli Mae.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother Wendall Moore; a sister Mary Juanita Dale; a brother-in-law Alan Lankford; niece Rachel Moore; 2 nephews Oscar Dale and John David Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 19th at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Rick Floyd officiating. The interment will be at Old Springer Cemetery in McLeansboro. Visitation will be from 11 until the time of service at 1:00.
