The Mutual Aid Box Alarm System will be holding a full-scale exercise event this upcoming weekend. The event will take place in Dahlgren at Rubenacher Farms.
MABAS Divisions 47, 52, and 68 as well as MABAS Illinois, Multiple 911 Centers, Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, and State Agencies will be participating in the exercise.
Some of the items that will be part of the exercise include grain bin rescue, technical rescue, hazardous materials release, and a large-scale water operation.
Officials say that part of the objective of the exercise includes evaluating local and regional emergency response along with public safety coordination and law enforcement response to events such as agriterrorism at a commercial farm.
Those along Illinois Route 242 will see increased emergency vehicle activity.
