In the first area girls basketball game of the season, the Edwards County Lady Lions defeated Wayne City/Cisne by a final of 68-24. Defensively, the Lady Lions forced the Lady Indians into 23 turnovers and held them to around just 23.6% shooting.
For Wayne City/Cisne, they were led by Greenlea Vaughan with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Kenzie Seidel added 8 points.
