MILL SHOALS NATIVE LARRY DOZIER TO SPEAK AT FAIRFIELD VETERANS DAY CEREMONY, NOW MOVED TO THE CP CHURCH WEST OF FAIRFIELD

Mill Shoals native, Larry Dozier will be the featured speaker at Fairfield’s Veterans Day observance set for tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. which has now been moved to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, on outer West Delaware in Fairfield, due to cold weather conditions.
Dave Land will serve as emcee, with Chief Warrant Officer 2 Caleb Koker offering the invocation and Elizabeth Scarbrough performing the National Anthem.

Following Dozier’s address, Fairfield VFW Commander, Dick Price and Fairfield American Legion Commander, Tom Seaman will present a wreath in honor of the unknown service member and Taps will be performed by Doug Aman.

After the service, lunch will be served at Cornerstone Community Church, located at the corner of First and Delaware Streets. Guests are asked to enter through the west parking lot door.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Dozier worked as an engineer developing major water projects in the western U.S. He and his wife, Marti, reside on a ranch near Cortez, Colorado, where they raise hay and care for horses.

Dozier has been a member of the Springerton American Legion Post for more than 40 years, and both he and his wife are members of the Fairfield VFW Auxiliary.
