The Illinois Leadership Council for Agricultural Education (ILCAE) has announced its 2025 annual award winners at a ceremony hosted at Central IL Ag in Atlanta, Illinois. Representative Dan Swanson served as the toastmaster for the event, bringing his enduring commitment to agricultural education and public service to the celebration.

Each year, ILCAE honors individuals and partners who display exceptional leadership, advocacy, and dedication to advancing agricultural education throughout Illinois. The 2025 recipients exemplify the diverse and influential voices working to strengthen the state’s agricultural education community.

Ag Education Advocacy Winner – District 5: Rebecca Perry
Rebecca Perry was recognized for her outstanding efforts in expanding agricultural literacy in Edwards County. She organizes activities that reach students at all grade levels, as well as adults through community events. Her effective use of resources and focus on community impact have contributed to the success of both the county farm bureau and FFA at the state and national levels. Perry was nominated by Steven Clodfelter, Edwards County Ag Instructor and FFA Advisor.

The annual awards ceremony brought together educators, industry leaders, policymakers, and advocates to celebrate these achievements and reaffirm ILCAE’s mission: ensuring a robust, coordinated system of agricultural education for future generations.

ILCAE is a voluntary, advisory organization dedicated to strengthening and promoting agricultural education in Illinois. Through collaboration, policy guidance, and program support, ILCAE works to keep agricultural education relevant, sustainable, and accessible to all.
