The popular “16¢ Breakfast” is back for its 15th year, giving the community a delicious—and affordable—start to their day while highlighting the reality of farm income. Sponsored by the Edwards County Farm Bureau and the Edwards County FFA, the event will take place on Saturday, March 14th from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the community room of the Edwards County Farm Bureau.

For just 16 cents per person, attendees can enjoy a full breakfast featuring pancakes, eggs, sausage, and drinks. The cost isn’t just a great deal—it’s symbolic. “15.9¢ is the amount farmers and ranchers receive for every food dollar consumers spend,” explained Rebecca Perry, manager of the Edwards County Farm Bureau. “The purpose of this breakfast is to show consumers how much the farmer actually receives out of every dollar they spend on food.”

The event is open to the public.Carry-outs will also be available for those on the go.
