Rainfall and thunderstorm activity held off Friday night in Fairfield, allowing the fireworks display to be held at Southwest Park. The event lasted about 20 minutes for those in attendance to view the fireworks display.
The fireworks was originally scheduled for last weekend, but had to be postponed due to thunderstorms and the threat of severe weather in the region.
