FCHS Board Meeting 07/20/23

The FCHS Board met for their regular July meeting last night with 4 members present. It was announced after the meeting that newly hired Superintendent Andy Julian has submitted his resignation, effective July 24, 2023. Julian had just been hired by the board in June. A Special Board Meeting will be held on Monday to accept the resignation and the search for a new Superintendent will begin. During the board’s regular session last night, Superintendent Julian announced that the district audit had been completed. He also updated the board on a leak in a sprinkler pipe that has caused damage to a coach’s office and a portion of the east gym floor. They expect the damage to be addressed before volleyball begins. The following important dates were announced: 7/21- online registration begins 7/25- new teacher orientation 8/9- Mule Mania for transfer students and incoming freshmen 8/10 & 8/11- in-service for teachers 8/14- first student attendance day 8/18- Meet the Mules In Old Business The board approved the FCHS Staff Handbook and District Employee Handbook In New Business Adjusted the Adult Breakfast & Lunch price – Breakfast will be $2.50 and Lunch $3.35 Approved the purchase of a van from Lemonds Chrysler at a cost of $38,436 After an Executive Session, the board took the following action: Hired Scott Foster as Girls Tennis Coach and Josh Rockett as Assistant Coach Set the stipend for the Head Cheer Coach at 10% of base and the Assistant Cheer Coach at 5.5% of base Hired Melissa Talbert as a one-on-one aide
