By Tony Collins Aug 7, 2023 | 9:11 PM

A new law has been passed that caps the cost of Epi-Pens in Illinois. State Senator Mike Halpin, who represents the Quad Cities, sponsored the bill which limits the price of a twin-pack of the epineprhine injectors at 60-dollars. Prices for single Epi-Pens rose to as much as $400 in recent years due to shortages arising during the COVID-19 pandemic. The law was signed into law by Governor Pritzker on Friday (8/4) and goes into effect immediately.
