The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency continues to invest in local governments and water districts. The Illinois EPA invested over a half billion dollars in drinking water and wastewater projects from April to June of this year. In total for fiscal year 2023, the agency issued over 800-million-dollars in low-interest loans for water infrastructure.
