Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Wayne County Ambulance and Fairfield Rural Fire Department personnel were called to a single vehicle accident Thursday night on County Highway 1, which is Enterprise Rd at County Highway 7 just north of the Clyde Robbins Corner north of Fairfield.  Deputies say just after 7:30,  a 2005 Chrysler Sebring driven by 17-year-old Maleah McKinney from Flora was traveling southbound on County Highway 1 when McKinney attempted to pass another vehicle.  The McKinney vehicle got into the gravel on the left side of the roadway causing McKinney to lose control.  The vehicle continued to swerve before running off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch embankment and rolled over into a field coming to rest on its wheels.  McKinney and a 15-year-old female passenger in the vehicle also from Flora were both transported by ambulance to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
