A pilot is dead following a helicopter crash in southern Illinois. The aircraft went down in a field in Oakdale, Illinois yesterday. The pilot was the only person onboard. Investigators believed the helicopter hit power lines, causing it to crash into a cornfield. The FAA will continue to investigate the crash.
