Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL
Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Harre Funeral Home
Pastor Robert Abbott will officiate the service and
Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Benton, IL
Betty was born April 11, 1929 in McLeansboro, IL to William A. “Dutch” Renschler
and Marie (Beard) Renschler. She married Alex Towle, Jr on June 10, 2011 at Hopewell
Baptist Church, McLeansboro, IL.
Betty worked as a hairdresser for 55 years and she really liked bowling.
She was a member and attended Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include Husband Alex Towle, Jr, McLeansboro, IL; Son Jimmy Johnson and
Wife Jeannie, Macedonia, IL; Grandson B.J. Johnson and wife Jessica, McLeansboro, IL;
Great Granddaughter, Harper Johnson; Special Friends, Craig and Connie Miller,
McLeansboro, IL; Nephew Ricky Rhine; Nieces, Janet Barker, McLeansboro; Karen
Parkhurst Farrington, San Diego, CA; Alice “Pinkey” Bartelt;Best Friend Dolly Hopkins.
Preceding Betty in death were her Parents; First Husband J.E. “Mutt”Johnson; Second Husband
Leonard K.Drake; Nephew Montie Rhine; Nephew Bernie Parkhurst; Two Sisters, Ruth
Parkhurst and Dorothy Rhine.
Casual dress has been requested by Betty’s family for those attending.
